The Truth About Real Health And Fitness
The simple truth about getting health and fitness results is this:
Nutrition, training and lifestyle are a combination of science and art. To achieve outstanding results you firstly must understand the science behind the physiological realities of the human body and how it works. Armed with this knowledge, you must then translate and apply it to craft a way of eating, training and living that provides your unique physiology with exactly what it needs to achieve the results you ask of it.
Or more succinctly:
Learn once and for all how the human body really works, decide what you want to do with your body and then give it precisely what it needs to do what you have asked. (Check out this great article about weightloss and bodybuilding nutrition: http://www.ultimatebodysuccess.com/e-course1.html )
People are always looking for shortcuts to be leaner and more toned and muscular. They just want someone to come up with some way or think of some magical system or "diet" or better yet a "supplement" that will give them the body that they want. They read diet book after diet book, rubbish article after rubbish article in magazines and try every new supplement under the sun 'guaranteed' to miraculously strip body fat as 'proven' by ridiculous before and after photos that they simply want to believe are real against all better judgement.
Getting a lean muscular body for life is not achieved by letting some schmuck sell you a book or pill that promises your salvation. You must not let anybody else do the thinking for you and make crucial decisions on what is best for your own body. If you want real results, it is time for you to take back control of your body once and for all. (Check out this great article that destroys the myth about training to 'tone up': http://www.ultimatebodysuccess.com/e-course5.html )
The single greatest shortcut you can ever take for your health and fitness is to actually take the time to learn how the human body actually works. This is not as hard a process as it seems and is profoundly important.
Billions of dollars are spent on health and fitness products and services with only a miniscule minority knowing how their bodies actually function. How can anyone make an educated and sane decision about what to eat and how to exercise without knowing how the body really works? This is why people spend billions on junk diet books and scams and hours of wasting their lives in gyms. How the hell could you possibly know what is good for you or what will work to get you the body you want if you have no idea how the human body actually works? It's like demanding an answer before even having contemplated let alone asking a question.
It is for this precise reason that at least 90% of people are doomed to fail miserably before they even set foot in a gym. Most people don't know how their body really works and as a direct result their training, nutrition and lifestyle is an exhausting, ineffective, costly and frustrating shambles that doesn't even get them into the same universe as looking like a Men's Health cover model. (This is a very important article about how to approach training before you even get started: http://www.ultimatebodysuccess.com/e-course2.html )
Without working understanding of how your body functions you are simply stumbling around in the dark because it is simply impossible to tell what information is correct or whether what you are doing will deliver you the result you want. You are also easy prey for the criminal behaviour of the hordes fitness industry frauds that are just itching to rob you of your money.

Tips to be More Physically Active
To start being more active, try these tips:
Think about your barriers to being active. Then try to come up with creative ways to solve them. The following examples may help you overcome barriers.
1. Start slowly. Your body needs time to get used to your new activity.
2. Warm up. Warm-ups get your body ready for action. Shrug your shoulders, tap your toes, swing your arms, or march in place. You should spend a few minutes warming up for any physical activity—even walking. Walk slowly for the first few minutes.
3. Cool down. Slow down little by little. If you have been walking fast, walk slowly or stretch for a few minutes to cool down. Cooling down may protect your heart, relax your muscles, and keep you from getting hurt.
Most importantly, appreciate yourself!
If you cannot do an activity, do not be hard on yourself. Feel good about what you can do. Be proud of pushing yourself up out of a chair or walking a short distance. Pat yourself on the back for trying even if you cannot do it the first time. It may be easier the next time!

Live Life to the Fullest
Every species will soon age. It is a natural phenomenon. Changes are noticeable from birth to death. So why worry about the physical changes that all of us would undergo? Although there are differences in the changes between males and females, still maturity means having gray hair, brittle bones, limited activities and being more susceptible to diseases and infections.
Aging affects the genetic makeup of our existence. Growing old is inevitable. As we mature so as our cells. Degeneration of our body tissues will soon occur as we reach the age of late adulthood, generally at the age of 50 or early 40s. This may be the reason that experts are saying, “Life begins at forty.” It is the stage in our life that we begin to experience more cases of health concerns related to aging such as heart problems, kidney disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, etc.
In females, hormonal changes may be apparent. Complaints of vaginal dryness, hot flashes, decreased sex drive, depression, anxiety and insomnia are common. Such occurrences are symptoms of menopause. It is not a disease, but rather a natural event in the lives of women.
Menopause is when a woman stops menstruating. It is the time when the cyclic function of the ovaries of the females begins to slow down and eventually cease. It is not a sudden disruption of the menses but a gradual event. Changes are also seen in women’s libido or less appetite to sex, painful intercourse, too much sweating or perspiration in anytime of the day (hot flushes), frequent headaches, muscle and joint aches, etc.
Psychological and emotional symptoms may vary among females. Some may experience fatigue, nervousness, irritability, sleep disorders and decreased estrogen levels. A woman suffering from the early signs or menopause may have pounding heartbeat, may always feel dizzy and tire easily. Hormonal imbalance may lead to loss of bladder control and inflamed or dry vagina.
Another health hazard for women in their menopausal stage is osteoporosis, or the thinning of the bones. Females who smoke, drink alcohol or take medications like corticosteroids may aggravate the symptoms of menopause. With reduced estrogen levels, women generally in their 50s are more likely to suffer from heart problems. So it is advisable to consult your doctor about the benefits of estrogen replacement therapy. Estrogen replacement may be in the form of tablet or skin patch or something that you can put on like a cream on the skin, especially in the vaginal areas to prevent the thinning of the pelvic lining and if this is not remedied may lead to urinary infection and incontinence.
The natural methods of healthy living are always helpful in an aging female to regulate the proper functioning of the body such as exercising regularly, quit smoking, eating foods rich in vitamins and minerals, proper dieting and maintaining an active lifestyle.
Being informed of the basics of menopause prepares you about the things that you can do to reduce the burden of the symptoms. It also serves as a reminder that there is nothing to be afraid of as you age. It is a natural occurrence that you have to face. Medications will be of great help if properly guided by a physician.
One agent widely used today in the market is Zalestra. It is in tablet form that supports your metabolism by using your body calories in your daily activities. Thyroid function is supported by aiding your weight loss regimen. It has jojoba extracts which help you control your food cravings.
Zalestra contains DHEA, a precursor to estrogen in the body. DHEA reduces the symptoms related to menopause. It contains ingredients such as Indole-3-Carbinol which may lower risk of disease. To learn more about the benefits of Zalestra, you can visit http://www.bodestore.com/zalestra.html.

Top 10 Tricks to Eating Healthy
First, do not starve your body. Your body will go into survival mode and actually store more fat. Your body will win the battle if you stop eating. Think this over carefully.
Second, eat breakfast. You miss breakfast and you have denied your body the energy it needs to start the day. You are then playing catchup all morning and will no doubt give in to the assosrtment of work place sugar filled goodies.
Third, eat every three hours. You will actually eat smaller portions throughout the day by eating more often. This feeding technique also prevents the gorging syndrome and keeps your hunger switch in check.
Fourth, cook with olive oil. Although more expensive than big tubs of crisco, olive oil is exponentially better for you because of its high content of monounsaturated fat (mainly oleic acid) and polyphenols. Research indicates that polyphenols may have antioxidant characteristics.
Fifth, keep your meals simple. Stop spending two hours in the kitchen. Heat up some noodles, bake some chicken, eat a vegetable, be done with it.
Sixth, do not count calories, just understand them. Counting calories discourages us from sticking to our healthy eating patterns. Do we really think we are going to count every calorie, every day, for the rest of our lives?
Seventh, eat more chicken and fish, less beef and pork. Let's face it, beef and pork are great tasting because of the fat. Reduce your servings of these two meats and become creative with the white meat, chicken and fish.
Eighth, eat desserts only on Sunday. Find alternative products to satisfy your sweet tooth during the week. There is no reason to eat a large portion of a dessert. If your not going to avoid desserts, try eating one or two bites, very slowly. Savor and enjoy the sweetness. We do not need to each such large portions of desserts to savor the flavor.
Ninth, absolutely no doghnuts or cake at work. You must find a way to say no thanks to the work place desserts. If you partake in each employees birthday celebration, you will be eating desserts morning and afternoon and then taking some home with you. Just say no.
Tenth, do not drink soda pop. Soda's serve zero purpose in our nutritional lives. Might as well hook an i.v. of sugar to our arms. Soft drinks also disrupt our bodies nutritional needs by offering nothing to our thirst and hunger switches. When our bodies are craving nutrition or water, we input liquids that provide nothing in the way of nutrition or hydration.
Changes in our eating patterns need not be drastic. Stop a few activities and start a few others. With just a few adjustments in tactics we can reduce our weekly calorie intake by 30 percent. Which will equate to a loss of 1 to 2 pounds per week.

How To Be Healthier In Life
Author: Jim Somchai
Good health is always one of the major goals most people want. Yet a lot of people do not know exactly what good health means. Also, they don't know what to do in order to be healthier. In addition, most people do not conduct the daily life that supports good health. They can have thousands of reasons not to do what they are supposed to do. In this article, we will talk about this one major ingredient in life and how we can achieve the best of it.
Health consists of both physical and mental factors. We can determine healthy by many means. We can measure health by checking pulse rate, blood pressure or using other medical ways. But we can also use our personal judgment by seeing if we have enough energy and vitality in our daily activities. Most people get tired easily and do not feel vibrant in their life. That's when you may want to look into your following areas:
Do you have good enough nutrition in your life?
Nutrition problem is one of the major problems in this world. The result of poor choices of food can initiate many illnesses including obesity, cancer, diabetics, high cholesterol, cardiac disease etc. All these illnesses can be prevented beforehand by right nutrition. The problem is whether you know what you should eat and you really care to do what you should do.
Study on the right nutrition and practice is essential to good health. With the new world of internet, you can easily access all the information you need to find out how you can get better nutrition. Do it, find it and practice it. Aim to keep your weight at the optimal level. Not to high or low. Avoid all fatty foods that will pollute your body. If you can do a good choice of your nutrition pattern, your journey to good health is ready more than half way.
Do you have enough exercise?
This is the bitter pill to many people. Exercise? No, I don't have time for that. Of course, nobody have time to insignificant things. Unfortunately, exercise is not that unimportant. It is on the contrary one of the most important tool to make you healthier. Schedule your time to exercise at least four to five times a week. You will need to do both aerobic and anaerobic exercises alternately. Each day, make sure that you exercise continuously at least thirty minutes.
Do you drink enough water per day?
Water is important for your excretion of waste from the body. Not enough water ingestion can lead to many illnesses such as constipation, poor skin condition and other metabolism disorders. Drink clean water at least eight to ten glasses of water per day. This will ensure healthier life for you.
Do you practice diaphragm breathing?
Breathing and letting your diaphragm move up and down will be a way to make sure that you have enough air into your lung in each inhale. You can easily notice that if you breathe right, your tummy will be swollen when you inhale and it will go down when you exhale. Right breathing pattern will help your body to receive more oxygen in each inhalation.
Do you have the right mental attitude?
Life has full of problems. If you do not see the world in a right angle, you will have a sick mind. If you have sick mind, you will have sick body. Practice and learn how you should see and feel the world. With the right attitude, you will have better life and health.
There are other ingredients that are not mentioned here including avoid all the polluted chemicals into your body, and practice above principles with discipline. I know you see the picture.
Having a good health is what people want most. This article talks about what to do in order to have better health.

How To Live To 100 years ?
Author: Kelvin Ho
In today society, 50 is no longer considered old. In fact, 50 is the new 30, as many now 30 year olds are realizing their own youth. A few generations ago, the life expectancy was dismally young, and many people of generation X lost grandparents who were only a little older than their parents are now. Baby boomers are not feeling old, and are wondering what is the secret to longevity?
The greatest secret to longevity has everything to do with what we put into our bodies and what we expect out of our bodies. When we eat a healthy clean diet, refrain from unhealthy habits like drugs, alcohol, smoking, and even too much doctor prescribed and over the counter medication, our bodies operate on a higher level of functioning. Moderate daily exercise like walks and gardening can also boost our longevity by a few years.
Good health is about balance. The secret to longevity is about achieving that balance on a daily basis while learning to live more freely within ourselves. Faith, regardless of what denomination, has proven to help people live healthier, happier, and longer lives. Simply having faith in the universe can prolong life by increasing our daily level of joy. Depression, even mild depression that makes us tired or feel down for short periods of time, does actually inhibit our ability to feel at our healthiest and can inhibit daily practices that increase our health and increase our longevity.
Genetics may or may not play a role in the secret to longevity. In some cases, an individual who had two parents die of a heart attack but took excellent care of their body (like not drinking, smoking, playing around with recreational enhancements, or eating high cholesterol foods) might be able to make up for whatever their genetics may have given them. In other cases, doing all the right things may not outweigh the genetic roles our DNA has determined for us. This does not imply that a person whose parents died of cancer will automatically get cancer no matter what they do. Rather, by controlling the factors we can control, we might be able to tip the balance in our favor.
Mental workouts are just much part of the secret to longevity as physical workouts. For those who spend retirement in front of the mind numbing television, chances are good they will begin to experience mental challenges much earlier than someone who experiences life to the fullest, visits with neighbors and friends to have intellectual discussions, and pulls out the crossword puzzle instead of the TV Guide for mental stimulation.
